Exit and Access Hatches

The opening system is developed for roof hatch & domes to make easy access to the roof. The opening system has an elegant design. With its single and compact opening principle it demands a minimum of space, and possibility for pre-installation or retrofit on an existing hatch.

The opening system is based on a unique geometric movement by means of an electrical actuator mounted in both sides of the upstand. This system gives maximum stability and power exploitation both for opening and closing.

A gas spring consists of a cylinder tube and a piston rod provided with a piston and is filled with nitrogen under high pressure. For the cylinder tube is sealed with a guidance where the piston rod is sealed to the outside and at the rear with one bottom piece.

The pressure is the same in front of and behind the piston as there is a flow-through channel in the piston is that by means of a (small) amount of oil supplemented, also provides one  end damping of both the ingoing and the outgoing stroke. The filling pressure x the surface the extension force determines the piston rod.
